EDM 101 Soap

Soap EDM 101

The EDM challenge this week is to sketch a bar of soap. I've been creating my own gylcerine soap with scents I prefer for over six years. My family uses ONLY my hand-made soap!!
This bar uses one of my favorite flower molds.

What a beautiful mold. What a wonderful hobby of making your own soap. d

Lin, wow! you ARE a busy lady. I really like the daffodils, and the handmade soap is beautiful. It's hard to mix such a nice pink in watercolors, but you've got it. great job.

Oh so pretty, and you've got such a glorious pink and the translucent quality that does say glycerine!
Ahem. . . and you were teasing me about grating my own orange zest?!! LOL.

Wow, you are so multi-talented. Make your own soap too? This is lovely and I bet it has a wonderful fragrance!

I didn't know you made soaps! I bet they are wonderful. The daffodils are lovely---and they're out just in time for the cold weather! They'll be fine, though, as you well know ;D.

You make your own soap! How fun! What scents do you use? I imagine they are lightly floral with a bit of woodsy-ness. ;-)
Great job showing the design in this painting -- you kept it subtle but still very visable. Super!
While blogger is letting me comment, I have to say great job on the early daffodils (wow -- January IS early!) And I've been trying to comment on some of the earlier posts, too, but blogger has been a bit bloggy -- I'll just say, keep up the good work!

I thought that looked familiar! I still have mine and I love it. I keep it in my spare bathroom so it doesn't get used up to fast. Thanks so much for all your great comments on my blog. I've gotten so terribly behind in visiting and responding but I so appreciate your feedback and encouragement!

Really cool! I love the monochrome and how much texture you are able to get with just the one colour. It must be heavenly to make your own soaps ... Cheers! Mary Ellen
