Red Grapes

With the conference looming ahead of me (tomorrow) and preparations in the works, time is really minimal. I sketched these red grapes early in the day and added watercolor during lunch WHILE one of my students sat and chatted ... Sometimes, a few minutes alone is really difficult! LOL If I hadn't already done the 'sketch in public' challenge, THIS would have met that for certain!

You are amazing and these are so pretty--do you have beautiful bowls like that even at work? I envy all your pretty accoutrements (sp?). I was thinking about you last night when I was feeling too tired to paint and just wanted to draw and I thought yeah, Lin's life is much busier and she's PAINTING every day! But I drew anyway, in trying to be gentler with myself but still do some art every day.

You did this with someone *watching*? Well done! I can sketch in public now, but painting ... I love the 'bloom' that you manage to get on fruit.

Excellent! Love the pigments you used on the grapes - fantastic shadings give depth to the bowl. You continue to amaze me!!
